We collect and hold personal information relating to our clients and may also receive information about them from previous advisors, government departments and agencies and legal advisors.

We hold this information for the following reasons: 

– To enable us to better support and assist our clients

– To monitor and report on the progress of work undertaken for clients

– To provide administration, financial and billing information; and,

– To assess the quality of our services

This information held will include names, dates of birth and similar personal information, contact details, information necessary for us to comply with instructions, data required by third parties such as government departments in the course of our complying with instructions, information provided to us in the course of our receiving instructions (both from clients and third parties having a proper interest in the matter) and details of connected parties both overseas and in the UK.

We will use this information solely in complying with instructions given to us by a client (or those acting on their behalf) and disclose the information on the same basis and as we may be required by law to do. We may also disclose information to our own advisors in connection with the billing for our services, collection and application of funds received and for the purposes of audit.

We will not otherwise disclose information other than in accordance with the requirement arising from an Order served on us by a competent authority and/or as we may be instructed by clients.

We will not give information about one or any of our clients to anyone without such client’s consent unless the law and our policies allow us to do so.

Decisions on whether we release personal data to third parties are subject to a robust approval process and are based on a detailed assessment of who is requesting the data, the purpose for which it is required, the level and sensitivity of data requested and the arrangements in place to store and handle the data.
